About The Role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to be the commercial owner for driving revenue and market share growth within a designated region or territory. You will manage the end-to-end sales cycle for NHS bodies, Local Authorities, and VCSEs, from initial regional planning and pipeline generation through to deal negotiation and closure.

We are passionate about delivering impactful healthcare software that changes what’s possible for clinicians and patients. Come and be part of a team that thrives on working collaboratively to deliver the best possible solutions for our customers.

We are an agile, self managing organisation. Driven by our values of collaboration, contribution, forwarding thinking and transparency. Our team members work together to share the responsibilities of managing the work and achieving our purpose - transforming health and care together. You will focus on three main areas:

  •  Regional Sales & Revenue: You will own the revenue targets for our products and services in your territory. This involves developing a data-driven regional strategy, providing accurate sales forecasts, and proactively managing your pipeline through our CRM.
  •  Public Sector Navigation: You will drive sales growth directly within NHS bodies, Local Authorities, and VCSEs. You’ll need to understand their unique funding streams and navigate procurement frameworks—like G-Cloud and CDHS — to maximise our success.
  •  Partnership & Solution Sales: You will cultivate relationships within target accounts, establishing yourself as a trusted partner to discover, understand, and solve key customer pain points. You’ll work across internal teams to ensure we are offering the right solutions to our customers and the wider market, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling where our solutions add the most value.

About You

You are a hunter and a closer who takes full ownership of your territory and is motivated by supporting customers and achieving commercial outcomes. You enjoy the challenge of translating high-level strategy into effective regional execution and are comfortable navigating the ‘politics’ of a deal.

  •  You are a commercial owner: You have a proven track record of meeting revenue targets and are comfortable providing and driving accurate sales forecasts and pipeline activity.
  •  You are a strategic influencer: You have the presence to engage and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
  •  You are competitive and insightful: You serve as the “voice of the region" keeping a close eye on competitor activity and market dynamics to ensure we stay ahead.
  •  You are a relationship builder: You thrive on building brand visibility at industry events and can cultivate long-term, trusted partnerships.
  •  You are a team player: proactively working closely with your direct team and teams across the business together to understand customer needs whilst always keeping the product strategy and business needs in mind.
Key Skills

  •  Public sector sales (heathtech or local authority): Essential experience in selling technology or services to the NHS and/or UK Local Authorities.
  •  Complex deal management: Demonstrable expertise in closing deals with long decision-making cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  •  Procurement acumen: A working knowledge of public sector financial cycles, commissioning structures, and procurement frameworks.
  •  Communication excellence: High-level professional client-facing communication skills with a focus on building productive working partnerships.
  •  Effectively build and maintain relationships: With your colleagues both in your team and across the business as well as manage stakeholders and generate buy-in.
  •  Planning & prioritisation: Exceptional capability in managing your own priorities and organising your time to meet deadlines effectively.

How to apply

Please do upload the following on to the portal when you are applying:

  •  A covering letter describing your interest in the role, what you are passionate about and what you think you would bring to the team and to Mayden. (We do read these and enjoy hearing about you and your interests).
  •  Your CV (all those amazing things you achieved and done)
  •  A copy of your passport and if required your share code and date of birth. We need to have evidence that you are eligible to work in the UK.

Please note: Applications will not be put forward if the above are missing.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship by Mayden for a skilled worker visa. We are therefore unable to accept applications from individuals who would require an employer to sponsor them for a work permit.

Benefits

We offer a phenomenal working environment, exciting opportunities to learn new skills, and an excellent package of benefits including:

  •  25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (with the option to buy or sell annual leave after probation is completed)
  •  Life assurance
  •  Private health insurance
  •  Pension (enhanced after successful completion of probation)
  •  Personal training and conference budget
  •  Onsite gym Parking, including EV charging points

Hours and Location

The position is for a full time member of our team, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.

Collaboration is one of our four company values - we work best together. We believe there is significant benefit from working face to face when doing so. At the same time, some work may be carried out just as effectively alone and away from the office. We have therefore created a flexible ‘place of work’ policy that asks everyone to be where the work of the day is best completed and overall spend enough time in the office with others to maintain relationships and communication. As a general rule, we require an average of 2-3 days in the office per week.

The role involves occasional travel.

You must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

We will review applications as they arrive and this role will therefore close upon receipt of applications reaching our limit or making a successful offer to a candidate.

Please note that successful applicants will be asked to complete a basic DBS check as part of their onboarding process. These checks are processed by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and will be paid for by Mayden. The need for DBS screening follows requirements from our customers and NHS England.

STRICTLY NO AGENCIES
